Technical information

The wristbands contain an NXP NTAG213 chip (180 bytes).  The chips are locked to prevent over-writing of the information.  Any attempt to over write the data will invalidate the data and make the sticker inactive.  The stickers have no internal source of power and rely on the NFC data transfer abilities of an NFC enabled device to access the information on the chip.

The sticker measures 22mm (W) x 35mm (L). If applying to a mobile phone or case it is best to hold the sticker on the back first to check that the NFC capabilites of your phone continue to work. A special blocking film is with the sticker to block the signals from your own mobile phone. This is to stop your phone continually scanning the sticker. So it is best to place the sticker as low down in the back of your phone but please check where your NFC scanner is situated before peeling off and sticking it to your phone.

Durability

Our Tap2Tag have clear instructions on front to show the woulds "MEDICAL DATA" with the Tap2Tag logo and NFC scan "pulse".  The words "Scan QR code, NFC or visit www.tap2.me and enter the 9 LETTER code" showing clear instructions to the emergency personnel..

The stickers are durable and waterproof.  Continual rubbing of the sticker, once adhered to another object (such as a cell phone) will mean the adhesive will become less sticky.
