Sizes

The Tap2Tag Medical Card comes in one design and is the size of a normal credit card.  It fits nicely into your wallet or purse and can be easily seen, even though much of it may be tucked away.

Colours

The cards come in two colour, black and white.  The front of the card is a clear notification to a medical professional that this is a medical card.  The reverse shows instructions for First Responders on how to access the medical information using NFC, the QR code or by entering the unique code at our emergency website.

Technical information

The wristbands contain an NXP NTAG203 chip (168 bytes).  The chips are locked to prevent over-writing of the information.  Any attempt to over write the data will invalidate the data and make the wristband inactive.  The wristbands have no internal source of power and rely on the NFC data transfer abilities of an NFC enabled device to access the information on the chip.

Durability

The Medical Cards are tough and as durable as a normal credit card.  They are waterproof as the chip is sealed within the plastic card.

Additional benefits

Besides acting as another medical device in plain view, the Tap2Tag Medical Card fits nicely into your wallet or purse.  If the card is placed in the card correctly the words "Emergency Medical Data" can be seen clearly in the wallet or purse.  We would suggest that the medical card is placed in front of all of your cards to ensure it is seen clearly when the wallet or purse is opened.

Suggested uses

Anyone with a medical condition, allergy or who may need to advise heatlhcare professionals of particular medications they are taking should consider wearing a wristband.  However anyone undertaking a sport (subject to the regulations of that sport) should consider whether the use of a Tap2Tag Medical would assist paramedics in the event of an emergency.  Details such as your full name, address and emergency contacts may be stored on the device even if you have no known medical problems.  We have considered many possible uses of the devices including those who
